When you need us
When downtime isn't an option
When equipment failure becomes an operational problem downtime can be expensive and disastrous. We can keep your site up and running.
Not every breakdown can wait for parts, repairs or replacement. If the loss of heating, cooling or hot water is affecting people, processes or critical equipment, temporary boilers, chillers and HVAC can provide the cover you need to keep operating.
Whether you know exactly what has failed or simply know that the conditions on site are no longer being maintained, talk to us. We can assess the existing equipment, what needs to stay operational and put a temporary solution in place to keep essential services running, while your permanent system is repaired or replaced.
When your heating or cooling fails, the pressure is on straight away. Our team is ready around the clock.

Got a question?
Frequently Asked Questions
What is emergency HVAC hire?
Emergency HVAC hire provides temporary boilers, chillers or heating and cooling equipment when the existing plant fails unexpectedly. It keeps essential services running while the cause of failure is identified and permanent equipment is repaired or replaced.
Are you available out of hours?
Yes. Our phone line 0808 169 1919 is answered 24/7, 365 days a year. We can install and commission out of hours if needed, with additional charges, or arrange it for the next working day if that suits you. Online enquiries are only monitored during working hours, so please call us out of hours.
What equipment can you provide in an emergency?
Depending on what equipment has failed, we can provide temporary boilers, chillers, heaters, air conditioning, dehumidifiers, along with fuel tanks and generators. Our range covers everything from portable units to multi-megawatt packages, so just tell us what has failed and we'll match the equipment to your site. Our engineers assess the situation and provide a temporary solution that meets your site needs.
Do we need a site survey for emergency equipment hire?
Not always, it depends on the equipment. Portable heating and air conditioning can often be arranged from the information you provide over the phone. For boilers, chillers and larger installed systems, we’ll usually need to assess the site before installation. We can discuss your requirements and provide an initial budget quotation first, then arrange a free site survey with one of our qualified engineers if required.
Can emergency hire equipment remain on site until permanent repairs are completed?
Yes, of course. We offer short- and long-term hire, so once the immediate emergency has passed, just let us know and we can extend or renew the hire contract until you are back up and running on your own equipment. We'll support you throughout.
How quickly can you deliver emergency equipment to site?
Our team is available 24/7 to assess urgent heating and cooling requirements. Response and installation will depend on the equipment required, site access, connections and the work needed to get the temporary system operational. Contact us as soon as a problem occurs and we'll establish the quickest practical route to temporary cover. Our goal is to get you back up and running with minimal downtime to your operations. A contingency plan can put those works in place in advance, so we can move faster if it happens again.
Do you install the equipment as well as deliver it?
Yes. Our engineers deliver, position and connect the equipment, then either commission it or work alongside your own team to do it. Either way, they make sure everything is up and running properly before they leave site.
Can temporary equipment connect to our existing system?
In most cases, yes. The exact arrangement depends on your system and conditions on site but our engineers can assess that. We have hoses, piping, couplings, and other ancillaries that we can provide if necessary.
Can you supply fuel and power for temporary equipment?
Yes. If your site has a suitable supply we can connect into the existing site services. If not, we can provide generators and a complete fuel management service as part of an overall hire package.
