Bio Digesters

This is a system whereby micro-organisms are used to break down organic material such as agricultural waste, food waste, and sewage to convert them into biogas, for the national grid, and fertilizers. Anaerobic digestion is the process where this happens in an oxygen-free environment and converts the organic waste into usable products. For this process to work it requires a consistent heat source to maintain a temperature from 35-40°C. The heating system can be in the form of a heat exchanger or heating coils. We can supply 300 or 2000 kW oil/gas fired containerised boilers to kick start the process. Once filled with water these temporary boilers only require an electrical connection to run. The external fuel tank provides gas oil for the burner to run on, creating a self contained system.

In addition, keeping the temperature consistent in hotter weather may require the use of cooling systems or an air cooled water chiller to lower the process temperatures.

We can also provide ventilation to remove harmful (VOCs) volatile organic compounds.
