Air Conditioning Hire

When permanent cooling fails, temperatures rise or additional capacity is needed, temporary air conditioning can help keep commercial and industrial sites operating. Cross Rental Services supplies portable air conditioners, split systems, packaged air conditioning units, evaporative coolers and exhaust tube air conditioners for planned works, seasonal demand and emergency cooling.

From offices, retail spaces and warehouses to server rooms, events and operational areas, smaller portable units can provide localised cooling without a complex installation. Where a larger system is needed, equipment can be combined into a temporary cooling package. Delivery, installation and ongoing support are available to suit the equipment and site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often. If yours is not here, get in touch and we will be happy to help.

Which air conditioning unit is suitable for a server room?

Split air conditioning units can be suitable for temporary server room cooling because waste heat can be discharged away from the space. The appropriate unit depends on the equipment heat load, room layout, power supply and where heat can be rejected. Our team can help select a suitable hire option and confirm installation arrangements./p>

Do portable air conditioning units need an external exhaust?

Many portable exhaust-tube air conditioners need a route to discharge warm air outside the cooled space. Split systems use a separate heat-rejection section, while evaporative coolers operate differently and are not a direct substitute for refrigerated air conditioning. The choice depends on access, ventilation, humidity and the cooling duty.

Can air conditioning be hired for planned work or an unexpected breakdown?

Yes. Temporary air conditioning can support planned maintenance, seasonal peaks and cooling failures, as well as short-term projects and events. Individual units or a larger package can be supplied depending on the site. Share the area to be cooled, available power, access details and when cooling is needed so the team can discuss suitable equipment and delivery.
