Boiler hire from Cross Rental Services covers planned maintenance, contingency cover and emergency heating failure. From 22kW electric units to 2MW containerised systems, our in-house fleet supports heating, hot water, and process heating across commercial sites where downtime isn't an option.

Boiler Hire Range
Our boiler hire range covers 22kW–2MW containerised boilers, trailer-mounted and electric units, all built to Gas Safe standards. Bespoke multi-unit configurations available beyond that. If your load falls outside our standard range, our engineers design and build a bespoke plant room to meet your requirements exactly.
Fuel Management
Our fuel management service ensures your hired boiler plant never runs dry. We supply, monitor and replenish oil, HVO, LPG and diesel fuel as required, ensuring continuity of heat supply for critical environments.
Remote Monitoring
Our remote monitoring and telemetry systems provide live monitoring of power, temperatures and fault status. Instant alerts so issues are caught before they become downtime.
Bespoke Boiler & Plant Room Solutions
We design, fabricate and test slimline and containerised boilers in-house, with bespoke plant rooms built around your site, access and operational requirements. Our engineering and custom fabrication capability allows us to support more complex or bespoke installation requirements.

We design and build boiler systems and packaged plant rooms at our own UK facility. That gives us greater control over specification and allows our engineers to configure systems around restricted access, limited space, existing infrastructure and complex site requirements.
Our engineers support the complete project, from site survey and system specification through installation, commissioning and ongoing support. Gas Safe registered and OFTEC-accredited expertise is available for gas and oil-fired installations.
Installation, commissioning and testing are managed by qualified engineers, with the relevant certification and documentation provided. Our teams work to site-specific requirements and established safety and industry standards.
Engineering support is available 24/7 throughout the hire. If something goes wrong, you have access to our team to diagnose the issue, respond on site where required and get critical heating or hot water back online.
A UK-wide depot and engineering network gives us the reach to support single sites, multi-site estates and national operations, with local delivery and engineering support backed by our wider fleet.

What size boiler do I need?
Sizing depends on heat load, hot water demand and your site's existing connections. Our engineers carry out a free site survey and size the right unit for your kW requirement.
What if the size I need isn't in your standard range?
Our engineers design and build a bespoke plant room to meet your exact load requirement – built in-house at our Andover facility to your specification, so we are not limited to standard unit sizes.
Are your boilers Gas Safe certified?
Yes. All gas-fired boiler installations are carried out by our Gas Safe registered engineers.
Do you offer emergency boiler hire?
Yes. Our engineers provide 24/7 breakdown response for reactive and emergency heating failure.
How quickly can you deliver a hire boiler?
We aim to get equipment to site within 24 hours, where feasible, subject to unit availability and site access. For emergency breakdown cover call our team directly.
Can you supply fuel as well as the boiler?
Yes. Our fuel management service covers bunded tank supply, remote monitoring and scheduled top-ups for oil and gas-fired units, including an HVO green fuel option.
What is included in the hire cost?
Every boiler rental includes site survey, delivery, installation, commissioning, service and maintenance for the duration of the hire, plus collection at the end of the contract. Optional chargeable damage-waiver for hire equipment is available also.
