Temporary Power

Power for the equipment your site depends on

Temporary power for hired boilers, chillers, heaters and other equipment when the mains supply is unavailable or cannot support the required load.

Boilers, chillers, heaters and air handling units (AHUs) all need a suitable power source. On many sites this is not available yet or cannot take the extra load. When the available electrical supply cannot support our hired equipment, we can help specify a generator package to suit the installation.

Typical uses include construction sites before permanent supply is connected, existing sites where the current supply cannot support additional equipment, and events requiring temporary heating and cooling. We also provide generator hire alongside chillers for temporary ice rinks, where additional power is needed.

Cross Rental Services' team considers what needs powering, operating hours, connection requirements and access. Generator hire includes the necessary supporting equipment for the agreed installation.

How Cross Rental Services Supports Generator Hire

Complete Hire Support

Power, equipment and fuel planned together

A generator needs to suit the load and the site, not simply a headline capacity. We can bundle the generator with temporary HVAC plant, supporting equipment and optional fuel storage, monitoring and replenishment, reducing the number of separate rentals your team needs to manage.

  • Electrical load and start-up demand assessed
  • Single or three-phase equipment considered
  • Site access, connections and installation requirements reviewed
  • Noise and emission restrictions on site considered when specifying equipment
  • Generator capacity and fuel management planned around operating hours.
